Juanita Greene
Board President
Juanita Greene is a respected community leader and longtime advocate whose career spans banking, public service, housing, and neighborhood development. After a 32-year career with KeyBank, where she retired as an Assistant Vice President, she continued her commitment to the Toledo community by serving in leadership roles with the City of Toledo, including Housing Commissioner, Economic Development Director, and Executive Director of the Board of Community Relations. She remains a dedicated voice in lead poisoning prevention as an active leader within the Toledo Lead Poisoning Prevention Coalition, helping advance policies and community action that protect children and families from lead exposure.
Monica Smith,
BOARD SECRETARY
Monica Smith serves as the Lead Safe Coordinator for the City of Toledo's Department of Housing and Community Development, where she leads cross-sector initiatives aimed at eliminating lead hazards and protecting children and families from the harmful effects of lead exposure. She has extensive experience overseeing the implementation of Toledo's Lead Safe Ordinance, managing multimillion-dollar grant initiatives, developing community education programs, and building collaborative partnerships that advance healthy housing and lead poisoning prevention efforts throughout the region
Keith Smith

Keith Smith serves as Vice President at Lucas Metropolitan Housing, bringing extensive leadership experience in affordable housing, community development, and facilities that strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life for families across Lucas County. He is passionate about childhood lead poisoning prevention and understands that access to safe, healthy, and lead-free housing is fundamental to protecting children's health, supporting educational success, and creating opportunities for families to thrive

DeVon Overton is Community Advocate, focused on using analytics to improve community outcomes across the region. Serving as a community advocate with the Toledo Lead Resource Center board, supporting data-informed approaches to lead poisoning prevention and advancing equitable, healthier housing for Toledo families.
Dr. Heather Baker

Dr. Heather Baker serves as the Executive Director of Community Engagement and Student Supports for Toledo Public Schools, where she leads initiatives that connect students and families with critical resources and community partnerships that support academic success. She is passionate about childhood lead poisoning prevention and recognizes that ensuring children live and learn in lead-safe environments is essential to improving educational outcomes, reducing barriers to learning, and helping every student reach their full potential

Dr. Anwer Ali is a respected former physician. He is deeply passionate about childhood lead poisoning prevention, recognizing that early identification, education, and intervention are essential to protecting children's developing brains, improving lifelong health outcomes, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed academically and reach their full potential.
Cassandra Pastor

Cassandra Pastor serves as a Risk Assessor with the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, using her expertise to identify lead hazards in homes and help families understand the steps needed to create safer living environments. She is passionate about childhood lead poisoning prevention and is committed to protecting children from the lifelong effects of lead exposure through education, early intervention, and evidence-based strategies that promote healthy, lead-safe homes.
Anthony Weaver

Anthony Weaver is a community advocate and registered lead clearance technician in Toledo, where he brings technical expertise in lead safety to support healthier housing conditions. As a member of the Toledo Lead Resource Center Board, he contributes a practical, field-based perspective that strengthens the organization’s mission to prevent childhood lead poisoning and promote safe, equitable communities
Dr. Marilynne Wood

Dr. Marilynne Wood is a retired Professor Emerita from The University of Toledo College of Nursing and a nationally recognized advocate for childhood lead poisoning prevention, dedicating years to community-based lead screening, education, and research throughout Toledo. Her passion for protecting children has been driven by the understanding that lead exposure profoundly impacts brain development, behavior, and academic achievement, fueling her commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in a lead-safe environment.
Kathy Crawford
Board Member
Kathy Crawford serves as the Northwest Ohio Pathways HUB Coordinator, where she works alongside community health workers, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to connect individuals and families with the resources they need to achieve healthier outcomes. Her passion for addressing the social determinants of health aligns closely with childhood lead poisoning prevention, recognizing that access to safe housing, education, transportation, and supportive services plays a critical role in protecting children and helping families thrive.
Gloria Smith

Gloria Smith is a registered nurse and Lead Case Manager with the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, where she has dedicated her career to supporting children and families affected by lead exposure through education, case management, screening initiatives, and community outreach. Her passion for childhood lead poisoning prevention is rooted in the belief that no child should suffer lifelong consequences from a preventable environmental hazard, driving her commitment to early intervention, family support, and advocating for proactive solutions that protect children's health and educational potential.
